This blog was started as a way for me to share my recipes and my interest with the world. I love to cook. It calms me and cooking/baking actually takes my stress away. I’m a full-time marketing professional. I’m also a mother and wife that is trying new recipes all the time to keep dinner time and entertain interesting.
I’ve tried a lot of different ways to lose weight in my adult life and Weight Watchers has been the most successful for me. I’ve been up and down. I’ve tried all the fad trends including whole 30, paleo, juicing and many more. In all honestly, I’ve had the most success with Weight Watchers and to key to sticking that program is going to meetings and weighing in weekly.
While cooking healthy is my hobby, I also incorporate a fitness routine into my week. I participate in body pump classes at my gym or use an elliptical about 5 times a week. I cook healthy, but I also like have fun entertaining with show stopping desserts or cakes.
My recipes are simple and they don’t require a lot of ingredients. I grew up in a family that cooked healthy and it has carried through into my adult life. I’m always recruiting my sisters or close friends for a Sunday “cook day” which preps us all for a week of healthy eating. The key to any successful healthy lifestyle is planning.
This blog is a hobby for me. Working full-time and managing life at home has its stressful moments. This blog allows me to channel my stress into something I love!
